Sheremetievo international airport clearly realizes what happened to Kavminvodyavia air company passengers of the 3062 flight from Sharm El Sheikh on April 2, 2005. We deeply sympathize with those suffered. We would like to make it clear: Sheremetievo is always ready to timely render assistance whatsoever but on the condition that we are informed in time. However in this given situation the air company informed the airport that there were those suffered on board a long period of time after the arrival of the aircraft in the airport. We wouldn't like this statement of ours to be viewed as our attempt to evaluate actions taken by the crew considering the extreme circumstances arisen but we are forced to make it public to ensure that the passengers realize that in no way the airport will leave them to the mercy of fate in the given situation if only it would have obtained prompt information from the crew. The Sheremetievo airport repeatedly rendered assistance to those suffered in similar emergency situations. Moreover, let us recall a August 2002 tragedy ( Il 86 fatal accident). The stewardesses who survived were rescued owing to timely actions taken by the airport's ground services.
